The intern will gain practical experience in people management, cash handling procedures, safety and security procedure and stock management. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following of retail, stock ordering rotation and merchandising, safety and security, fresh foods and human resources. On completion the intern will have attained skills in people management, cash handling procedures, day to day retail operations and managerial skills in junior management.

Skills Required

Operational knowledge of retail environment.Excellent interpersonal relations. An understanding of consumer needs.Understanding of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP, and Consumer Law. Commercial acumen with the ability to anticipate and react to market changes.Committed to continually improving standards. Self motivated & ambitious. Computer skills.
